 RELEASE DATED DEC. 17, 2004

Why a common declaration of the exiled Armenians from Western Armenia ?

The survivors of the Genocide (1894-1923) spread out all over the world hoped during 80 years that the United Nations would hear their voices and answer their legitimate requests for justice and rights, within the framework of the recognition of the crime against mankind and genocide committed by the Turks.

For so many years, the Armenians have been waiting for a sign from the others, after handing over their whole collective future to nations who did not even wish to apply their own  humanitarian rules or conventions to an orphaned population without homeland.

Thus, on this planet where various rights are granted to Humans, Children, Communities, Animals, the Descendants of the Survivors of the Genocide would no more have any original identity, they would not exist any longer in the form from which they descend, but would have undergone a psychological transmutation and would have been mentally as well as physically restructured, so that they would follow an alternative life and development scheme, which is completely different from the one which they have directly inherited.

The present events, the political manipulation of our martyrs clearly show to what extent the political leaders did humiliate us before the whole world. The Right of Nations to Self-Determination being universally recognized, the exiled Armenian People officially claim to recover all the rights of which they has been deprived, their national sovereignty and their right to existence as Armenians from Western Armenia.

We all are Armenia’s children !
